At its heart, Visions of Worldbuilding centers the ways of knowing of Black and Brown women and femmes, exploring mothering as both a metaphor and a method—a liberatory practice of care, protection, resistance, remembrance, and imagining otherwise. Through multimedia art and participatory experiences, the exhibition invites us to sit, listen, and reflect on those who kept us, those we keep, the worlds we've inherited, and the worlds we're building.

This opening reception is hosted by PORTALS and will bring together live music, movement, and tea in celebration of the artists and their visions of legacy, transformation, and possibility. We Still Dream a Future is a series of free public art activations, installations, exhibitions, performances, and learning experiences designed to help us dream, learn, and grow, taking place throughout the Downtown core.
