About this event
Unrecognized: The Duwamish Tribe is a film about power, politics and culture. Drawing on historical records, lived experience, and behind-the-scenes decisions about public art, the half-hour film shows how the struggle for recognition is both political and cultural. Join filmmaker BJ Bullert and Duwamish Tribe Council Member Ken Workman for a screening and conversation about the local tribe that refuses to be erased.
The film will be feature closed captions. In addition, a limited number of Assistive Listening Devices are available upon request. For more accessibility support, email programs@mohai.org.
